MAYS LANDING — Spread the Love and the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District are teaming up to host an Emotional Health and Suicide Prevention event Thursday night, Feb.11th
The event will feature
presenters, panel discussions and breakout sessions and is scheduled to
start at 6:30 p.m. at Oakcrest High School, 1824 Dr. Dennis Foreman

Carolyn Coburn, of Mays Landing,
and her daughter, Megan, developed the Spread the Love Foundation in
memory of Samantha Coburn, who hung herself in her bedroom at age 19 on
Aug. 14, 2014. The suicide prevention program is built around eight
central pillars: awareness, compassion, kindness, loyalty, manners, service, sportsmanship and respect.
The district also will host a
March 15 Teen Depression and Drug Trends program and an April 16 Health
and Wellness Fair, both at Cedar Creek High School, 1701 New York Ave.
