Mullica Schoolyard Greenhouse Update
Dear family, friends and community members,
Sustainable Mullica Green Team has performed many actions that are making our world a little more sustainable, healthy, green, clean and friendly. We are entering our fifth year, and we continue to delight, educate and engage our students. Our greatest project is the Mullica Township Schoolyard Garden (http://www.schoolyardgarden.com/ ), which was featured in the Sow True Seed catalog (http://sowtrueseed.com/). We're kind of famous!
Our team has exciting news this year - we will be adding a greenhouse to our garden's outdoor classroom! The students can't wait to dig in and start planting. Of course, greenhouses aren't free, and we need to raise funds for ours. The total cost is $7,000, and we already have donations from AtlantiCare and the Mullica Township PTA adding up to $1,850. We are asking for contributions to cover the remaining $5,150. ( As of 2/7/16 we have collected $825. We still need $4,325.)
If you would like to contribute to the schoolyard garden's greenhouse, we would welcome and appreciate your support. Sustainable Mullica is a nonprofit, 501(c) (3) public charity, and your gifts are tax deductible. Any amount will be gratefully accepted and put to a good use. Checks may be made out to Sustainable Mullica. Thank you in advance for your kind generosity.
Peace to you,
Susan Speck Polk
