Ground Hog Day Green Drinks Social

SustainableEHC, Egg Harbor City’s green team, will be hosting a “Green Drinks” social 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Joseph’s Restaurant at the Tuscany House, 72 N. Bremen Ave., to celebrate Groundhog Day, the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Eco-conscious individuals concerned about preserving the environment and creating a sustainable future are encouraged to attend

The Green Drinks craze started more than 25 years ago when green design colleagues met up for drinks at the Slug and Lettuce Pub in North London. The idea went global in 2001 when Edwin Datschefski created the greendrinks.org website. Green Drinks has become a popular way for communities in the Sustainable Jersey movement to network friendships and ideas.

There is no agenda, only fun at this networking get-together. Meet up with like-minded individuals who live to be “green.” This is not a fundraiser, there is no admission, and individuals buy their own green drinks and food.
