Mullica Holiday Closings

Mullica Municipal Offices will be closed December 25th thru 28th for the Christmas holiday.

(The Transfer Station, aka The Dump, also closed)

A question about the "Dump" closing all weekend will be addressed.
Answer:
According to the Township Clerk, the "Dump" will be open Sat. 12/26 and Sun. 12/27 and closed on Mon. 12/28.

Hi Gadfly and Merry Christmas. I looked at the dates the dump will be closed on your site and hope that it isnt all 3 days-saturday,sunday and monday-25th through 28th. we all expect the day after christmas to be closed but to also have sunday and monday too is really a disservice to the taxpayers who will have a lot of trash to bring from the holiday. Is there a mistake here? I dont remember it ever being closed for all three days. AND if it is correct will we also have it closed for the three days the following week of New Years? Going to be a lot of angry people who will be surprised and upset when they have all their loads of trash arriving those days to find closed gates. Hey, committee how about reconsidering Sunday and Monday closings and/or opening station on a business non holiday weekday those weeks. I see Barbara is the head of that department and I hope she can address this.

The message under notices on the bottom of the Township website is "December 25th & 28th - Christmas - Municipal Offices & Transfer Closed". "&" is different than "Thru" which is in the main headline. This will be clarified for you shortly.

Hello Gadfly - the Transfer Station will indeed be open Saturday and Sunday for business. It will be closed on Monday December 28th due to contractual terms with the way the holiday falls on a Friday. Hope this clarifies things for everyone.

Much appreciated for details of dump closing dates. A lot of folks either dont get to Town hall often or meetings. What happened to township new letter sent years ago?We no longer have the televised meetings either with only Gadfly to fill the info gap. Maybe a calender of closures and other events for the upcoming year should be enclosed with tax bill mailings for the future. It wouldnt increase postage.

Thank you for your appreciation of the Gadfly. The Township does have a website that the Gadfly links to for township information. www.Mullicatownship.org in blue can be clicked after every posting from that site. The goal of the Gadfly is to provide easy, one stop information to the busy citizens of Mullica about what's happening in the town. The removal of the televised and internet meetings was a great loss to Mullica. The meetings are still recorded and you can order a disc from the Township Clerk of any meeting that interests you.
