Last
night's 'School House Christmas,' hosted by the Mullica Township
Historical Society at the Hilda Frame School in Nesco, was absolutely
fantastic.
Music, homemade cakes and cookies, raffle prizes, kids running around everywhere and nice people.
Not one person was wearing a suit jacket or tie; every, single child was well-behaved.
It reminded me very much of the homespun events held in Pomona and Cologne during the 1970s.
The good, old days weren't always good, but last evening embodied the best of those times.
Kind of glad that I forgot my camera, for no picture could ever convey what took place last night.
