Mullica Election Finally Decided By One Vote

The official results of the November 3rd General Election were released on Friday, as certified by the Atlantic County Clerk. Some races were close prior to provisional ballots were returned


In Mullica Township, incumbent democrat Barbara Rhenault and challenger Republican John Walther were separated by one vote before provisional ballots were returned. Walther, according to the results, won by one vote 615-614 over Rhenault.


For Egg Harbor City, six votes before provisional ballots were returned separated challenger Republican Robin Sefton and newcomer Democrat Jeremy Adams. Adams defeated Sefton, according to the results, 360-352.
In a less close race in Folsom Borough for a council seat, Kyle Smith trumped Byron Gunmore 233-221. In Atlantic City's Fifth Ward for council, Democrat Chuen "Jimmy" Cheng ousted Republicab Sharon Zappia 458-333.

Thank you for the question. The breakdown has been posted. Surprisingly, the on ballot School Board Candidates received more votes than three Committee Candidates.

Why would that be surprising, the school candidates ran unopposed?

Well,a lot of people forget to vote for the school board, especially if the people are unopposed and there is no publicly. At least more than 50% of the people who bothered to show up this time participated in the school board election. I didn't expect even this many people to vote. I see your point that the two elections should have no comparison and my comment was worded wrong.
