What Election?

CHRISTIAN HETRICK, Staff Writer
Despite all the drama and millions of dollars spent in South Jersey’s two Assembly races, a vast majority of state residents have no idea an election will take place next week.

Three-quarters of New Jersey residents are unaware of next Tuesday’s election, according to a Rutgers-Eagleton Poll released Tuesday.

Experts are predicting a historically low turnout on Nov. 3 with the Assembly at the top of the ticket for the first time since 1999. Turnout in last June’s state primary was the lowest in 90 years.
The poll was conducted with 935 adults contacted by live callers on both landlines and cell phones from Oct. 3 to 10. The margin of error is 3.6 percent.
