An Atlantic City security guard says that a blurry cell phone photo shows a horned, winged creature flying along Route 9 in Galloway and that it may be the Jersey Devil.
According to Kelly Roncace, a columnist for NJ.com, Dave Black took several shots of the creature on his way home from work.
Black told Roncace that the image was not manipulated or Photoshopped.
Black said the creature look initially like a llama before it, "spread out leathery wings and flew off over the golf course."
"The mind plays tricks on you,"
Black told Roncace. "A friend suggested that maybe it was an animal
running and an owl grabbed it, the photo being a combination of them.
That's still not my first instinct, but I don't know how to explain it
otherwise."
In the end, Black believes he saw something he can't quite explain.
