MainStreet Hammonton and the downtown merchants will host the 10th annual Downtown Trick or Treat from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 17.
This year’s event includes a
“Happy Haunted House” on Central Avenue, sponsored and designed by the
downtown business Chatter’s Basket.
Local businesses will hand out
treats to children and offer activities. Games, crafts and activities
will take place on Central Avenue. There will be a costume contest for
kids and pets, with registration at 1:30 p.m. at Reagan Rock, Bellevue
and Central avenues.
Children’s costume categories are scariest, most creative, best group, and cutest. Pets will be judged for first, second and third place.

There is no cost to
trick-or-treat. Festivities run from Third Street to Egg Harbor Road
along Bellevue Avenue. Your Way DJs will provide entertainment at
Central Avenue.
The rain date is Oct. 24.
