So far, his efforts to be heard over the clamor of the crowded Republican presidential primary field haven't elevated Christie in the polls. The governor barely made the cut for Wednesday's CNBC debate in Boulder, Colo., with an average of 3 percent in recent national polls. CNBC set a floor for the debate at 2.5 percent.
A national CBS News/New York Times poll released Tuesday found Christie at 1 percent among GOP primary voters.
