Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Checkpoint
Mullica Township – Law enforcement officials from Mullica Township Police
Department in conjunction with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office will be conducting a
DWI checkpoint on September 25, 2015 at 10:00 pm and ending on September26, 2015 at 3:00 am.
The location of the Checkpoint will be Anchor Auto Sales (5358 White Horse Pike) Route 30 and 4Th Ave Westbound.
As a concentrated national effort, DWI checkpoint campaigns help to raise
awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving though high visibility enforcement and
public education tools, including posters, banners, and display signs.
Law Enforcement agencies participating in the DWI checkpoint campaigns offer
the following advice:
1. Take mass transit, a taxicab, or ask a sober friend to drive you home
2. Spend the night where the activity is held.
3. Report impaired drivers to law enforcement. In New Jersey, drivers may dial #77 on their cell phones to report drunk drivers.
4. Always buckle-up, every ride. It’s your best defense against an impaired driver.
5. If you’re intoxicated and travel by foot, the safest way to get home is to take a cab, or have a sober friend or family member drive or escort you to your door step
