It is with deep sadness that the Elwood Vol. Fire Company announces the passing of life member and former President John Nevius Sr. on Wednesday September 23rd from an auto accident. Our deepest sympathies go out to his friends and family.

Shocked to say the least and hoping the passing of so many friends ends for a time here in Mullica. John was a loving father and husband who sacrificed his entire life to help those in need. Cannot say enough nice things about him except in a world where too many folks dont reach out to help or give John will be sorely missed. He however is in good company in heaven. Our hearts go out to Mary and his family. He was truly one of a kind.Thank you Gadfly for noting his passing.
