Shark Sightings

MARGATE – There are more shark sightings in the area. Sharks were spotted near Atlantic City yesterday in both Margate and Avalon.
Lifeguards in Avalon noticed a roughly four-foot long shark in a couple feet of water and pulled swimmers out. In Margate, lifeguards saw a fin sticking up appearing to follow fish.
Several beaches were closed for about an hour last week on Long Island following a shark sighting at Overlook Beach.
