EGG HARBOR CITY —A woman was hospitalized after being beaten at the Family Dollar store in Harbor Plaza Monday afternoon, police said.
Police responded to a call at 3:30 p.m. reporting a fight and a woman down, said Egg Harbor City Police Sgt. Dylan Hutton.
When officers arrived at the store, located on the
White Horse Pike, they found an unconscious female. She was taken to the
AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, Hutton said.
The victim's name is not yet being released, pending completion of the investigation, police said.
"We don't believe her injuries are life threatening," Hutton said.
He said a suspect has been identified and a warrant is out for that person's arrest, but declined to name the suspect.
