Property Tax Reimbursement (Senior Freeze) Program

Filing deadline for 2014 Senior Freeze (PTR) Applications extended to October 15, 2015. (View Treasurer's Press Release)

This program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax or mobile home park site fee increases on their principal residence. To qualify you must meet all the eligibility requirements for each year from the base year through the year for which you are applying.

Note: The amount appropriated in the State Budget for property tax relief programs affected reimbursement payments for 2013. Applicants were eligible for 2013 reimbursement payments if their income did not exceed $82,880 for 2012 and $70,000 for 2013, provided they met all the other program requirements. The proposed appropriation for property tax relief programs would also affect eligibility for 2014 reimbursements.
