Atlantic City Electric is urging customers still without power after Tuesday's storm to report their outages — even if they have reported them previously.
The utility said in a news
release Saturday that power has been restored for about 245,000
customers of the approximately 280,000 who lost power. By
comparison, Hurricane Sandy caused more than 220,000 power outages.
More than 1,200 personnel
from multiple utilities have worked around the clock to restore power to
customers, the news release said. Atlantic City Electric said it has
been helped by state and local government, emergency management agencies
and and first responders.
Atlantic City Electric customers still without power should report their outage at www.atlanticcityelectric.com, via
the mobile app, or by calling 1-800-833-7476, the utility said. Power
restoration to essentially all customers who can safely accept service
is expected by the end of day Sunday. \

Area is again experiencing power losses in Sweetwater and Nesco along with west Hammonton. Tabernacle and Waterford areas are taking big hits also.Ventnor also has some power outages now in the Heights area. This was about 215 pm on Sunday with power not expected to be restored till 1159pm on Monday.Atlantic City Electric is getting some bad press with 20,000 folks still w/o power. Tomorrow as the heat returns there will be some hot tempers.Doesn't seem much lessons were learned from the derencho and although some trees were trimmed this week many more still have branches in the lines waiting for next weather event.
