WASHINGTON — Sen. Bob Menendez was indicted on corruption charges Wednesday, accused of using his office to improperly benefit a Florida eye doctor and political donor.
The indictment charged the New
Jersey Democrat with 14 counts, including bribery and conspiracy, over
his ties to Dr. Salomon Melgen, a wealthy doctor and the politician’s
longtime friend.
Melgen also was charged in the case.
Even while under federal investigation, he has used his leadership position on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to criticize negotiations between President Barack Obama’s administration and Iran on its nuclear program and has been outspoken in opposition to normalizing relations with Cuba.

Obama is vindictive. Holder and his justice department will be going after Senator Menendez now.

I agree with 10;23 pm post but I would like to add in my opinion the Senator gave them plenty of charges he will surely hang for . This is after hearing the numerous charges and the fact he has been indicted. He is very arrogant and totally out of control. While Frank Lobiondo usually responds to folks questions, concerns etc with a phone call , letter or radio call in Senator Menendez's office sends a form letter that never answers the question but brags about his accomplishments. Just my experience. Looks like the Gov will be appointing another Senator slot in the future.
