Kraft Mac & Cheese Recall

Kraft Foods is recalling 242,000 cases of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese because some of the boxes may contain metal, the company said Tuesday. A company spokeswoman told NBC News that more than 6.5 million boxes were packed in the recalled cases.
In a recall notice, Kraft said eight customers had contacted them about the affected product, but no one had been injured.
"Consumers who purchased this product should not eat it," the notice said.
The recall only applies to the 7.25-ounce boxes of the original flavor with a "use by" date of September 18, 2015 through October 11, 2015, Kraft said. The boxes of possibly metallic mac and cheese will have a code of "C2" on the bottom, but the company said some of these boxes could be in multi-packs with varying codes.
The recalled boxes were sold in the U.S., Puerto Rico and some Caribbean and South American countries, the company said.
Kraft, last year, recalled 1.2 million cases of cottage cheese products because they had been stored improperly and 260 cases of Velveeta cheese that did not have enough preservatives. The company also recalled 7,700 cases of Kraft American Singles in August because of a storage issue, Reuters reported.
