Atlantic County Surrogate Jim Curcio, who pleaded guilty in 2012 to his second drunken-driving charge in two years and refused calls to resign, will run for re-election this year to another five-year term, he said Thursday.
“There’s no way to avoid it,”
Curcio, 54, said of the conviction. “It happened. It will be three years
in April. I believe I have dealt with it, and it’s been a catalyst for
making positive changes in my life.”
No Democrat has announced a bid to challenge the Republican nominee in November.
