TRAFFIC ALERT - OPENING OF INTERCHANGE 41
Closure of GSP Rest Area Access to Jimmie Leeds Road
To all concerned,
We have finally been officially notified about the pending opening of Interchange 41 of the Garden State Parkway. The information regarding the opening is as follows:

Interchange #41 of the Garden State Parkway will open on FRIDAY FEBRUARY 27, 2015 AT 0500HRS. Access to and from the Garden State Parkway via the Atlantic City Rest Area will close at that date and time. Everyone needs to be aware as indicated in the previous email below, access to Jimmie Leeds Road will be routed to the new Exit #41 of the Garden State Parkway and commuters will NOT be able to access Jimmie Leeds Road via the Atlantic City Rest Area after 02/27/2015 at 0500hrs. If a commuter were to inadvertently get off on the rest area instead of the new Exit #41, the only option will be to get back on the parkway and go to the next legal exits for a u-turn, which in the case of north bound commuters would mean Exit #50 in Burlington County as there is no legal u-turn until that exit.
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority will begin signage on the Garden State Parkway and Jimmie Leeds Road beginning this Friday February 13, 2015.
