At the meeting tonight hopefully Mia Jones is voted off of the president position. She has made a lot of bad decision for the school and community.

I hear a lot of people say a lot of negative things about Mia and the board. I disagree. I met Mia in 6th grade at Mullica school. went to school with her till the end of our senior year at Oakcrest. Every thought and action that ever came from her was always meant with the best intentions! I'm the guy that sees the "behind the scenes" part of it. It is a thankless job that is completely volunteer. Hours on top of hours, phone calls after phone calls, emails etc..... I see the impact it takes on her. The people that post the comments really have no idea. The board has one primary intention, to make it the best for the kids. I'm sure every "anonymous " person can do a better job, but they apparently aren't strong enough to step up to the challenge. This may come off to people as a biased post, and I'm ok with that. I am happy and proud to call Mia my wife. She is one of the most caring people I have ever met, putting herself last in every situation. This is the first time I have ever been on this site, and will probably be my last. Final statement....... if you can do any better, show us, make us see all the "bad decisions" made, and show us how you make them better. Also, don't be a coward with the "Anonymous said", stand by what awesome words come out of your fingertips. proud husband, Ken Jones

Well said, Ken! I agree with every word. Mia is extremely conscientious in performing her unpaid job as a school board member and president. Apparently her fellow school board members agree as they have re-elected her as their president for another term.
