Dallas Health Care Worker Positive For Ebola

Texas health care worker who cared for Liberian Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan at a Dallas hospital has tested positive for the virus, apparently as a result of a “breach of protocol” for treating the disease, the director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Protection said Sunday.

Dr. Thomas Frieden said officials at the agency are "deeply concerned" about the new Ebola case involving a female caregiver, because she was infected after Duncan was admitted to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital on Sept 28, when all workers were taking full precautions against Ebola transmission.

All those who treated Thomas Eric Duncan are now considered to be potentially exposed.
Dr. Daniel Varga, of the Texas Health Resources, said during a news conference Sunday that the workers wore a gown, gloves, mask and shield while they provided care to Duncan

He said another person also remains in isolation, and the hospital has stopped accepting new emergency room patients.

Dr. David Sanders, a Purdue University professor of biological science, tells Fox News why he sharply disagrees with the Centers for Disease Control regarding the potential for Ebola going airborne.
“…we have to consider the possibility that it can enter through an airway route,” said Sanders, adding that the virus can “morph” or “mutate” as the outbreak continues in Africa.

Trained people, using all protective gear, come down with ebola. The NBC news crew were exposed to the cameraman without any gear and they violated the quarantine.
Not only do they deserve mandatory quarantine but they should have criminal charges pressed against them for endangering an outbreak of ebola in N.J.
