Police across Cumberland County continued to look Sunday for two of the three suspects who beat a guard while escaping from the Cumberland County Juvenile Detention Center in Hopewell Township.
Jermaine
Jackson, 20, and Hakim Walls, 18, both of Bridgeton, who escaped with a
juvenile inmate about 6 p.m. Saturday, were the subject of a manhunt.
Walls and Jackson were serving sentences for weapons convictions as minors.
Williams said anyone who sees
the suspects should call 911. Both are considered dangerous because of
the violent nature of the escape, he said.
Among
law enforcement continuing the search were the Cumberland County
Prosecutor’s Office, the county Sheriff’s Office, Bridgeton and Vineland
police and State Police.
