Communications Operator Duties and Requirements
Answers all incoming calls including 9-1-1, Police, Fire & EMS. Must have good communication skills both oral and written, ability to work well with others, ability to think and act calmly in emergency situations.
Requirements:
State Mandated Basic Emergency Telecommunicator Certification (E911) and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Certification, as well as CPR certification. Computer skills required. Prior experience preferred but not required.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
Must be of sound moral character verified by a background check
Must be able to work shift work preferably midnight's
Salary during training period, benefits available, PERS pension position.

Starting Salary: $30,000 – 35,000 depending on experience.
