As chief of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape tribe, Mark "Quiet Hawk" Gould figures it's his job to help people in South Jersey understand his tribe better.
And
he hopes to do that job again Saturday at WheatonArts and Cultural
Center in Millville, when it hosts a free event that focuses on many
aspects of the South Jersey's local tribe.
It's
called "A Day of Celebration: Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Music, Dance and
Craft." And WheatonArts - the sprawling, 65-acre former Wheaton Village -
is leaving plenty of time for displays and demonstrations of all the
above: The celebration is scheduled to go on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday at WheatonArts and Cultural Center, 1100 Village Dr., Millville. Admission is free.
