MULLICA TOWNSHIP _ A special meeting scheduled for tonight by the Mullica Township Board of Education has been canceled.
Board
President Mia Jones said the board felt a second special meeting was
not needed. At its first special meeting Aug. 14 the board interviewed
four candidates for the position of interim Superintendent in the
district.
Superintendent Brenda Harring-Marro recently took a job as principal of the Atco Elementary School in Waterford Township.
The
appointment of an interim superintendent is now expected to happen at
the board's regular meeting 7 p.m. Aug. 27, at the schools’ library on
Elwood Road.

Heard Board is letting Marro go early. Now maybe the school can go back to being known for good things, not the mistakes and mess ups that Marro and company brought to town. If only Mia Jones and Matt Mazonni would follow her lead on this!
Hey Marro, what happened to your "I'm not going a anywhere" comment? Yet another lie, not that Mullica minds this one! A big thank you needs to be sent to Waterford for taking you off our hands. Now let the healing begin!
"Board President Mia Jones" should remove herself from this BOE as she contributed significantly to all the issues related to her lack of leadership, failure to review information and acted only as a rubber stamp for the Superintendent. She lacks the ability to lead.
Her resignation would improve the likelihood there would be decisions based on understanding of the issues.
Mr Mazzoni should not have been promoted to Principal of the whole school, he lacks good judgement and experience to assume this role.
After the Mascio case where he filed false information and other incidents, do you think he deserves this position? He's another lawsuit waiting to happen.
I doubt that the current BOE President sees she is responsible for this mess. None of the members seems to feel isn't remorse. They mostly looked at their cellphones during the mess, limited time for public remarks, switched meeting dates and times to avoid public comment or attendance.
So, Mia Jones resign? No, way.
