Investigation At Mullica School

Mullica Township police were at the schools building on Elwood Road Tuesday conducting an investigation, Chief John Thompson said Wednesday.

He declined to say the nature of the investigation, but said it involves school personnel. The investigation is being conducted by his department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, he said.

Who/what is being investigated? I understand the need for confidentiality but some information/statement from the school would be appreciated to put parents' minds at ease.

I think if involved the children, then the Superintendent would make an announcement.
It may be administrative in nature.

The Superintendent didn't announce anything last September. Everything was top secret until the news broke the Mascio case in February.
The Press stated this one involved school personnel.

Good Gosh! I hope Mazzoni didn't give his statement to the police!

Please remember that Mazzomi never gave a statement to the police. It was in the arbitrators report that BRENDA was the one who called Mullica PD and gave that botched statement. I read all 27 pages of the arbitrators report when it came out. He said to Brenda "You did more harm to your districts reputation by falsifying a police report, than 2 five year olds did in a bathroom". Mazzoni never made that report. He was a tool and she allowed him to take the wrap for that

I agree with you

Jamie,
On pg14 of the tenure charges it does say that the superintendent called the police but it does not say who filed the erroneous report.

In one of the original articles from the Press, they state that the OPRA'ed report was made by Mazzoni. They had the report in their hands and read it. I'm sure they did not make a mistake about who gave the false statements.
I'm sure the arbitrator blamed the superintendent for never correcting the report after the investigation.

The Press reported about Feb 26th by M. Brunetti Post, that the Police report came from Mazzoni. That call may have been made by Brenda H-M but it was Mazzoni who responded to the call from Mrs Mascio and he elevated it to the Superintendent. I have wondered if this was planned, in that, they moved several teachers from their regular teaching assignments despite hiring new graduates who could have gone to those open assignments. They moved a 5th grade teacher to Mrs Mascio's 2 nd grade. they moved Mrs Mascio from 2 nd to Kindergarten and the opening in 3rd they put in the new hire. While musical chairs? Then the first of these in new assignments gets treated as an opportunity worth exploiting. It backfired but, Mazzoni was the one who wrote the report and tried to ruin Kelly Mascio as much as The Superintendent
Jaime, look at the full chain of reports here on the Gadfly and Press.
