EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – The Egg Harbor Township Police Department will
be conducting a drunk driving checkpoint Friday, Aug. 29 from 10 p.m. to
3 a.m. in the westbound lane of the Black Horse Pike between the
intersections of Tilton Road and Uibel Avenue.
The goal of the checkpoint is to raise awareness of the dangers of
consuming alcohol and drugs prior to getting behind the wheel of a motor
vehicle along with high visibility enforcement.
The department announced it will have zero tolerance for motorists
who decide to drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
