Dear South Jersey Veteran:
Cooper University Health Care has launched a Veterans VIP Priority program in response to
the extensive reports of veterans not being provided the care they need and deserve in a timely
fashion by the Veterans Administration. Our program offers same-day appointments for primary
care visits, with nurse navigators on call to coordinate your care.
The program will serve veterans in the seven southern New Jersey counties, which include Atlantic,
Burlington, Camden, Cape May Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem.
Same-day primary care appointments can be scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday
through Friday (excluding national holidays). If you call after 1 p.m., we will do our best to schedule
you that day, however it may be the following business day.
There are two ways to schedule an appointment:
1. Call our toll-free hot line 1.866.990.VETS (1.866.990.8387).
2. Request an appointment at CooperHealth.org/sjvets.
Please bring proof of your veterans status (DD214) to your appointment.
This summer, look for information on preventive screenings at MD Anderson Cancer Center at
Cooper, and screenings for high-risk conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart and vascular
diseases. We will also offer seasonal flu vaccine clinics during flu season.
Cooper thanks you for your service to our country and will remain dedicated to helping you get
the care you need.
Sincerely,
George E. Norcross, III
