Business Administrator/Board Secretary Karen Gfroehrer said Tuesday
that she cannot comment on whether Harring-Marro has given written
notice, since it is a personnel issue and the board has not met to
discuss it yet.
Harring-Marro’s
3-year 10-month contract expired June 30, but its language suggests it
would remain in effect past June 30 if not renegotiated or revoked.
According
to the contract, Harring-Marro was making $123,100 during the 2013-2014
school year as superintendent of Mullica Schools and an additional
$13,500 for also functioning as superintendent of Washington Township in
Burlington County, which runs the Green Bank School for pre-K to fifth
grade and sends its sixth- through eighth-graders to Mullica.
Her
total compensation in the 2013-2014 school year was $136,600, according
to her employment contract provided by Gfroehrer after an Open Public
Records Act request.
Her new job is offering her a salary of $112,000, said Waterford Township schools Business Administrator Daniel Fox.
In
the first year of her contract from 2010 to 2011, Harring-Marro’s
salary was $116,000 from Mullica and $13,500 from Washington Township,
for a total of $129,500. The amount paid by Mullica increased each year,
according to her employment contract.
The Mullica Township Board of Education has never said publicly if it was renegotiating or renewing Harring-Marro’s contract.
“To
date, no new contract was approved for the Mullica Township
Superintendent by the Executive County Superintendent of Atlantic
County,” David Saenz Jr., spokesman for the state Department of
Education, said in a July 18 email.
Harring-Marro
was hired by the Waterford Township Board of Education at its meeting
July 16 to be the principal of Atco Elementary School, Fox said July 17.
He said Harring-Marro has no definite start date and must finalize her contract obligations with MullicaEntire article at

No, she's continuing to draw higher pay at Mullica until she "downsizes" by going to Atco,so she doesn't loose her pension like she tried to do to Kelly. She'll have her pension based on her top three years from Mullica
She's way too young and doesn't have anywhere near enough years in to retire!
Marro is telling anyone that will listen that she is a victim and really downtalking Mullica and the community. She didn't feel that badly when she fired Kathy Kruz was fired and walked her out. Kruz won a whistleblower lawsuit that cost us taxpayers a ton. The entire upstairs secretaries quit including a woman who did that job for 25 years. Lordes LaGuardia, the business administrator who had all the fury at the teachers all the sudden took a new job and ran out of there. One can only imagine what she may have been involved with with Marro.
Marro fired a popular and very good special ed. teacher a few years ago just because she didn't like her.
So is anyone to feel bad for Marro? She only sat upstairs and counted her money and figured out ways to make herself look good even though many weren't seeing it and since she didn't involve herself with students often enough people really didn't see it if they were paying attention.
We heard there is a grassroots move to keep her from being hired or get her fired already in Atco. What were they thinking on that BOE?
Her mentor finally steered her wrong to the point of having to move on. She didn't realize when you are the boss you are supposed to be smart enough to do things right. This all could have been avoided and she'd still be up there counting her money and years to retire.
our Boe must feel really stupid for backing this Marro except for one man with common sense. They even backed her when she was trying to interview elsewhere.
Pay attention community. You have a curriculum coordinator in Lesher that is neither useful or supportive of the students and teachers. She just likes trouble and yells at teachers and says I don't know all the time. She's making a lot of your tax dollars. Are you concerned. Pay attention to our school and our town.
You say pay attention community.
How is the community supposed to know what's going on? I don't have children in the school but I want to see everything running smoothly and happily for the town's benefit.
Who can the teachers complain to if something is not right? Who will listen and try to make corrections?
Are the teachers afraid to complain because they will be put on a vendetta list?
After seeing what happened to Kelly Mascio, the teachers have to stick together as a group and make a complaint to the new superintendent and school board about problems not being corrected. If they refuse to fix problems, the community should be notified and maybe standing room only Board of Ed meetings will force them to correct bad situations.
The secret, bad working environment has to stop.
The BOE that is in now will not listen to anyone they let that know a more then one meeting they all need to go alone with Mr Donio and principal Mr M
I"m kind of confused. Are you saying that the board will not listen to complaints and send the complainers in alone to Donio and Mazzoni?
That's like sending a lone little chicken into a fox den.
Yes that is exactly what happens. The only outlets are through the problem people!
I will never understand why nothing was done about Mazzoni making false statements to the police.
The arbitrator's report does say that Marro contacted the police but the Press reported that it was Mazzoni who made the statements. They obtained the report and read it.
I've read comments for months, from all different sources, about the problems Mazzoni causes and calls for his resignation or removal.
For the board to send people to him to solve problems is a sure sign that they are clueless as to the school environment.
Big changes have to be made now.
Does anyone know if the Board accepted Marro''s resignation at their "work session meeting" last night?
Their work session was today, 7/30 and they did accept Marro's resignation on or before Oct 15th.
What made you think the meeting was yesterday?
