Adult students will be able to earn college credits for life skills at several state colleges under new programs being offered by Atlantic Cape Community College and a new consortium of colleges working with Thomas Edison State College in Trenton.
Both
programs give students several ways to earn credits, and requirements
may vary with each participating college. Students can test out of
certain courses and pay a fee for the credits, or put together a
portfolio of their experiences for review. Military experience,
professional training courses or industry certificates could also earn
college credits.
