Red Flag Warning

NEW JERSEY - State officials are saying that conditions are prime for a forest fire.

Forecasters have issued a red flag warning and a fire weather watch for most of New Jersey. The warning is in effect from 11 am until 8 pm Wednesday and the watch is posted during the same time period Thursday.

Forecasters say low humidity and strong winds will combine to allow the spread of any brush fires that develop.

Residents are advised to properly dispose of any smoking materials.
