Kauffman Insurance Money

A legal battle between James Kauffman and his step daughter for the proceeds of two insurance policies has taken another step.

Us District Judge Karen Williams granted that Transamerica Insurance company deposit $600,000 with the court and be removed from any legal proceedings between James Kauffman and his step daughter, Kimberly Pack.

As a result, the insurance company cannot be sued by either party in this case. A federal Court will now decide whether the money in trust will go to the woman's daughter or widower.
