The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District will hold three public information sessions this month on its proposed bond referendum March 11 for work at all three high schools.
Meetings will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City; Wednesday at Absegami High School in Galloway Township; and Feb. 26 at Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing
The district is eligible for 54 percent of the
$37 million cost, or about $20 million, to be funded through state
debt-service aid. If approved, the remaining cost would increase
property taxes by varying amounts based in the affected communities.
On a house assessed at $100,000, taxes would increase $36 per year in Mullica Township.
