In May of this year, members of the Mullica and Hammonton Police Departments will take part in the 2014 Police Unity Tour. During this tour, our officers will ride their bicycles from New Jersey to Washington DC where they will take part in a candlelight vigil in honor of fallen officers across the country. Participants from the Mullica PD include Capt Brian Zeck, Sgt Ryan Hutton, Det Christopher Silva And Ptl Michael Jamerson. Participants of the Hammonton PD include Sgt Sam Angelo, Ptl Donald Kunen, Ptl Christopher Clements, and Ptl Jonathan O'Neil. The main reason of this ride is to raise awareness of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. In the past 10 years, an average of 1 death in every 57 hours has occurred.
Please help us raise awareness and support your local Police Departments. You can do this by purchasing a T-shirt for $20 in an effort to cover the $1700 per person entry fee, which is contributed to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
