Scam Alert !

SOUTH JERSEY - A local utility company is concerned that a scam on the rise in the Philadelphia area will make its way to South Jersey.
The Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority is warning its customers not to open their door to anyone pretending to be a utility worker. Reportedly the scammers are disguising themselves as utility workers with hard hats and other uniform type clothing before knocking on the doors of seniors and robbing them.
ACMUA employees never need to enter un- announced at residences.
As a reminder the only time the utility authority employees arrive at a home is at the request of the resident.
