HUD Investigating Use of Sandy Funds

Federal officials are taking a closer look at how the Christie Administration spent $25 million to promote the Jersey Shore in wake of Superstorm Sandy.

Democratic US Rep. Frank Pallone told CNN, " This was money that could have directly been used for Sandy recovery.  And, as you know, many of my constituents still haven't gotten the money that is owed them to rebuild their homes or raise homes or to help".

Governor Christie and his family also appeared in taxpayer-funded $4.2 million advertisements during an election year.

HUD's Inspector General's Office found enough evidence to justify a full audit of Federal Funds.
