Official 2013 Election Results Delayed

Atlantic County 's Board of Elections cancelled its Friday morning meeting due to lack of quorum, meaning voters will have to wait until next week to learn the winner of close races.
The Board has to meet by Monday, by state law, but can adjourn the meeting twice.
It has to ratify the results of the election no later than Nov.18th.

The board is expected to count provisional ballots and decide on several close races.  One of the close races is for 2nd District General Assembly where 1,164 ballots are at issue between Assemblyman John Amodeo and Democratic candidate Vince Mazzeo.
Other close races include Atlantic City, Northfield, Egg Harbor City and Hammonton.
