NBC 40 WMGM-TV Sold
NBC 40 WMGM-TV's owner, NY Based Access.1 Communications entered into a purchase agreement with California - based investment firm Locus Point Networks.
Locus Point Networks has been described as looking to buy stations in advance of the FCC's auctioning of the broadband spectrum and has done so elsewhere in N.J. and the nation.
The FCC planned auction is born out of skyrocketing demand for wireless network capabilities as more Americans use tablets and smartphones.

Although the above article states that the local TV news show will continue, there is a website that describes Locus Point Network's plan for the airtime. It states that our valuable, sole,
life saving local television news and information outlet is going off the air.
THE WEBSITE IS ASKING FOR YOUR HELP AND TO CONTACT YOUR LOCAL, COUNTY, STATE AND FEDERAL REPRESENTATIVES. TELL THEM YOU WANT THEIR HELP TO SAVE SOUTH JERSEY'S ONLY FULL-POWER-MAJOR-NETWORK AFFILIATED TV STATION AND SOUTH JERSEY' LIFE SAVING OUTLET.
See the article linked below which includes all the addresses and phone numbers you will need to help save our local news program.
