Sandy Money For Seaside Fire

Gov. Christie pledged $15 million in state aid Saturday for businesses impacted by the massive boardwalk fire that ripped through a four block stretch in Seaside Park and Seaside Heights.

The initial $15 million will come from funds offered to help in the recovery of Hurricane Sandy.  The funds will be made available whether or not the fire damaged businesses were affected by Sandy.

What about all the people who are still living in motels after a year of waiting for help?

I went to Seaside this summer and saw that all the buildings and the boardwalk in the section that burned were old. That part was not rebuilt,it was only thrown together and stocked for the summer season. You could smell the mold in the stores. Now the businesses will get brand new buildings and equipment.Don't they have fire insurance?
