Age Restriction Eliminated for 944 units
The Galloway Planning Board approved eliminating the 55-and -older age restriction for a previously approved 944 unit complex.
The 400 acre property is off Tilton Road near Pomona Road and Aloe St and is owned by Ole Hansen & sons.
Ole Hansen Attorney, Stephen Nehmad said there is currently no timetable when the construction will start.
An Ole Hansen-sponsored report by Richard P. Reading Associates, of Princeton, suggested the development would add about 2587 people to Galloway including 248 grade school children and 117 high school age children.

I would disagree with that report. If each unit had only one child, that would be 944 new kids in the school system, not the 365 total listed. Can Absegami High or the primary schools handle the influx? We are part of the Egg Harbor Regional School District. Our taxes might be affected by new school additions or construction because of this development.
