Mullica Drug Arrest
Township officers arrested Wharton Park resident Juan Rivera, 48, on multiple narcotics offenses in the early hours Monday, police said.
Officers from the Mullica Township Police Department, along with the New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit, executed a narcotics search warrant at 4019 Adams Circle, in the Wharton Park section of Mullica Township, police said in a statement.
The search warrant was obtained through efforts lead by Capt. Brain Zeck and Detective Chris Silva, police said, and Rivera was found to be in possession of approximately 3,500 bags of heroin, $4,947 in cash, a digital scale and an imitation firearm. The street value of the narcotics recovered is estimated to be $25,000.
Rivera was being held on $150,000 bail. The Mullica Township Police Department was assisted by the New Jersey State Police K9 and TEAMS unit along with the Hammonton Police Department.
