6/11/13 Regular Meeting Minutes excerpts:
Presentation: Director of Fire Affairs, Jerry Critelli / Fire Well Replacement:
Mr. Critelli stated the current well, located behind Town Hall,is in need of repair noting it is not pumping to capacity and is approximately 25-30 years old. He reported this is Mullica's only consistent water supply. Mayor asked about other available wells. Mr. Critelli stated Sweetwater and Weekstown have small wells and Nesco has utilized Mr. Merlino's farm. Committee and Mr. Critelli discussed the options. CFO reported in 1998 the pump was replaced. To redevelop the well Ms. Stollenwerk reported the cost will be approximately $3,500, with no guarantees and the well at the recreation fields was discussed, Mr. Critelli stated; however, it is not practical to have fire trucks at the fields when sports are taking place. Mayor suggested the CFO prepare specifications for quotes for a new well.
Revenue & Finance:
Work has begun on Jackson Road. We have received documentation from the County that money has been allocated for repairs to the Lake Nescochaque Dam.
Resolution 81-2013 / Award Vehicle Maintenance:
Awarded to T Masters Collision
Clerk reported in the Executive Session the Governing Body discussed the staffing in the Public Works Department, pending litigation regarding MD vs Verno, shared services for Municipal Court with Egg Harbor City and reviewed the executive Session Minutes of May 28th.
