A Mullica Township man was charged with assaulting his neighbor with his vehicle after an ongoing dispute Thursday night.
JulioTorres, 32, of the Wharton Park development off the White Horse Pike, was charged with assault by vehicle, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an injured person, Corporal Ryan Hutton of the Township's Police Department said. Torres was in Atlantic County jail on $100,000 bail.
Hutton said Torres and his neighbor, a 35-year-old woman whose identity was not released, have had an ongoing dispute for months and police have been called to the house multiple times.
At about 6pm the two got into an argument and Torres allegedly got into his vehicle and tried to hit his neighbor, Hutton said. The woman tried to avoid the vehicle and held onto the bumper for balance and she was dragged several feet, he said.
Torres then drove off without stopping, Hutton said. He later called the police to tell his side of the story and was arrested, Hutton said.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
The investigation is ongoing.

It looks like the video is showing a whole different story. I can't tell if he really hit her because she jumped out of the way. She ran up, opened the truck door and was hanging in the passenger side as he drove away. That wasn't too smart.
Maybe you have the next Darwin Award candidate.
The husband deserves a Darwin Award for being so proud of that video. She wasn't hit by that truck. Torres might have tried to intimidate her but she was the aggressor by attacking his vehicle and tying to get in. That's how she got hurt.
This woman needs charges pressed against her,too. I think this video will help Torres in court.
A man was shot in the head from his back window on Adams Circle less than 2 months ago. If he had a camera up maybe the shooter could have been identified. Maybe that whole neighbor hood should invest in cameras.
Mullica is about to become the next YouTube sensation.
That woman's actions caused her own injuries. I'd like to see the video of the fight in the street that they had before this happened. It might give a clue as to who started this mess.
It's a shame people can't get along. This is a sad and dangerous situation.
