The above is a section of the Regular Committee Meeting Minutes of April 9, 2013 which was released at yesterday's meeting. It is safe to assume that this Ordinance was approved at the hearing yesterday. The point being made by this is that all the news the public receives is 2 weeks old. There is no access to televised or internet Committee Meetings and the agendas are extremely sparse. Last night's agenda listed this as HEARING: Ordinance #6-2013 / Bond Ordinance.
Other towns list the the CONTENT of the Ordinance on the AGENDAS so the public knows what will be discussed at the meetings. The people of Mullica are given a vague title and no explanation. There will come a day when this Administration will approve something that will change the way of life in Mullica and the people won't know until it's too late. They have already rezoned the Elwood Village up to the Devonshire Inn and approved the County's plan for sewers in Elwood. THIS IS YOUR TOWN. You have a right to know what's going on and the only way is to attend the meetings at this time.
Even the minutes do not give the public details of what transpired at the meetings. Resolution 56- 2013 / Approve Landsale request/ Block 5202, Lot 2 & Block 5201, Lot 4 was approved. There are no details about how much the Township would receive for OUR land or who would buy it.
Research shows that the lots are 2720 Fourth Ave and 2721 Fourth Ave.
Our Township land has been sold off cheaply or given away through street vacations at a rapid pace in the last 2 plus years.
