Mullica man killed, three injured in Thursday night accident .
A driver involved in a single-vehicle accident Thursday night died at the scene, and three passengers were taken to the hospital.
Police said the call came in about 9:30 pm for an accident on Reading Avenue at the intersection of Frazier Avenue, in the Devonshire section of the Township.
The driver was John Perona,,66 of the Elwood section of the Township.

Initial crash investigation reports suggest the vehicle may have been speeding while trying to negotiate a sharp turn in the roadway, police said.
The front-seat passenger, Dorian Scott,63, of Egg Harbor City, was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical, City Campus.  Gina Yuro,44, and Arthur Hatfield,40, both of Elwood, were also injured from the crash.   Yuro was also taken to the hospital, but Hatfield refused medical attention, police said.

Police said Perona was a life-long resident of the township.
His family owned a junkyard in the township for years but the business closed in 1986 when the site caught fire and burned for multiple days.  Perona later operated his business out of his home.

Attempts to contact his family were unsuccessful.
The collision is still under investigation.  Anyone with information should contact Mullica Township police at (609) 561-7600.
