The local tax rate would go from $1.104 per $100 valuation in 2012, to $1.134 for 2013 according to Township figures.
The total tax rate, which includes county and school spending, would increase by 4.3% from $3,919 to $4,087 per $100,000 assessed valuation.
Expect to pay about $185 more on an averaged assessed home of $110,000.
The Township lost a $24,000 state Safe and Secure Communities grant because the Township decided not to fill a police officer's position since last year.
There will be a budget hearing at Town Hall, April 9, 2013 at 7 pm.

The taxes are rising faster than the Mullica river. We lost A grant because Moe, Larry and Curly refused to hire a cop but spent over $100,000 in overtime and exhausted the police force. Now they rehire a known incompetent to do their selective bidding and keep their club house. They've sold off or given away more of OUR land than any administration I can remember. Mullica is sinking fast and you can't blame the river. I need more than coffee this morning.
