Budget Meeting

The Township of Mullica will hold a Budget Workshop Meeting on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 6:00pm in the Court Room of the Municipal Building, 4528 White horse Pike, Elwood NJ.
Formal action maybe taken.

The last Budget Workshop was held on Dec.11, 2012. A brief excerpt is as follows:

Municipal Clerk: K. Johnson
CFO: D. Stollenwerk
Public Works: M. Ayers

The CFO reported the following: based upon the wish lists submitted from each Dept. this budget is currently at 9 cents and over the levy cap; pension costs went down $41,000; health insurance increased 9.6%; total health insurance increase was 18% (due to marriages, births, etc ) inclusive of the $17,000 savings in the dental plan.  Surplus is projected to be less than 2012; tax collection rate is currently at 95.3%

We can only hope that all the people who attend the 1 hr meeting on Feb. 12, 2013 will consider all the tax payers in Mullica who are struggling to make ends meet on a day to day basis.  There are a lot of people in Mullica who have wish lists like putting food on the table and paying for utilities and mortgages.
