Oops!...I Did It Again

According to a recent article in the Press of Atlantic City, now County Surrogate Jim Curcio has been charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane and failure to consent to a breath test for the second time in a two year period. The first time, in 2010, while running for surrogate, he was charged in Hamilton Township, but this time he was charged by the Mullica police.

According to the article, Curcio was stated as saying "“It’s a bad situation but I hope people don’t make a rush to judgment,” said Curcio, 51, a lifelong Hammonton resident. “Every situation is different, and I want to let it go through the court system. ... I’ll have a lot to say after.”

DUI is DUI, he failed the field sobriety test and failed to give a proper sample for the breath test. Not much to explain when you fail a field sobriety test, refuse the give the proper sample and were pulled over for suspicion of DUI.

May 15 is supposed to be his answer date, but because of ties as the former prosecutor in Mullica, as well as other locales, it will more than likely be heard elsewhere.

Any truth to the rumor that the School Board President was picked up for DWI a short while ago? No mention in any of the papers?

If you were looking in the papers for the incident, what town were you told he was picked up in?
Are you speaking of a week or months ago?
Mullica Police list the names of the DWI people they pick up on Facebook.
I don't think they would be that unfair to only name out of towners and omit Mullica's own offenders.
I'm very proud that our guys got Curcio off the road and weren't intimidated by his position.

We've had way too many fatal accidents in this town involving sober people and our police are doing a great job trying to prevent more caused by stupid people who drink and drive.

Well,I guess that should be on the next Egg Harbor City press release listing a Mullica Twp. man and his age for a DWI. I really hope this rumor is not true.
