Why are the two police officers resigning?
The township is getting a good officer in Mike Tantum.
Also with the chief leaving maybe it's time for a Director of Public safety.
Money could be saved by hiring a retired police officer who already has benefits and save on pension payments.
Not much luck with the past few chiefs that have come from within.
The department is short staffed as it is and hiring a public safety director would be useless as he would never be able to perform law enforcement activities.
What, is Joe Barbera looking for a job?
